I praise you for organizing everything you want and creating a budget for yourself to do it. But it's not always as simple as you think. For example, last month when I turbos started leaking, I started looking into replacing them with GT2530's. I did the math on everything needed to do this (and to finally fix my power steering leaks once and for all) and figured about $6500 would be enough. I took the car to Ultimate Z to get a full estimate on doing everything. The total ended up coming to $8876.10. That's to cover the power steering leak (it ended up being the rack and the pressure hose, when I thought it was just the hose), all the labor (and he's giving me a kill deal, he's only charging me labor to replace the turbos, which is ~$1500 and the rack which is $150 while the engine is out), and all the parts to accomodate the turbos (some exhaust work, not even that much). Since the estimate, I've shopped around and scratched off needless items and I can't even get it below $8200. All I'm saying is, make sure there's extra money for if you need it. I'm a sterling example of this because I just had my starter crack in half last week for no apparent reason (it was only 9 months old), so unexpected things will happen, and you have to be ready for it when it does.
